Organized by the Department of Information Technology, MPSTME, in collaboration with CSI @ MPSTME, the three-day event will feature keynote addresses, beginner tracks led by Qiskit Advocates, hands-on quantum computing sessions, and a hybrid hackathon designed for both beginners and experienced quantum enthusiasts.
This is roughly what you will write in the beginner track on 24 October. Pick a circuit, then run it and watch the measurement counts land.

Qiskit Fall Fest is IBM Quantum's global season of student-run events, hosted each year by universities around the world. MPSTME is one of this year's hosts.
Our edition is written for two people at the same time. The first has never opened Qiskit and is not sure quantum computing is for them. The second already has a circuit they want to push further. The keynotes and beginner tracks bring everybody to the same footing, while the hackathon runs across all three days.
You do not need any prior quantum coursework to take part. Bring a laptop and your curiosity, and we will supply the rest, including access to real IBM Quantum hardware over the cloud.
The schedule below is provisional. Confirmed speakers and room numbers will be published in September.
The online hackathon opens. Teams form, the problem statement goes out, and building begins remotely.

The hackathon runs continuously from here, on campus and remotely.

Learn quantum and Qiskit fundamentals from a blank file, taught by Qiskit Advocates, ending with a circuit you have run on real IBM hardware.
Teams of two to four build a Qiskit project across Friday and Saturday, on campus or remotely, in separate brackets for beginners and experts.
Senior scientists and industry experts bring practical experience across algorithms, hardware and enterprise quantum computing.

No. The beginner tracks start from nothing and are taught by Qiskit Advocates. If you can write a little Python you will keep up comfortably, and if you cannot, the sessions still make sense.
Students from any college in India. You do not need to be at MPSTME or NMIMS, and there is no restriction on your branch or year.
No. Attendance is free for everyone. Registration is required so we can plan seating and hardware access.
Yes, for the hackathon, which runs in hybrid mode. You can build remotely from anywhere in India. The keynote addresses and beginner tracks on 24 October are held on campus.
No. Hackathon teams are two to four people, and if you register on your own we will help you find a team when the hackathon opens.
A laptop with Python and Qiskit installed, and an IBM Quantum account set up beforehand. We run a setup desk before the hackathon briefing if anything is not working.

21 October 2026. We would encourage you to register earlier, since places for the on-campus sessions are limited by the size of the hall.
